Health Course Description: This course provides opportunities for pupils to acquire facts, to develop proper attitudes, and to establish practices and habits that will contribute to personal and community health. The student will familiarize themselves with how health plays an overall factor in an individual’s everyday life. With participation, the student focus will revolve around how to obtain and maintain an overall healthier and suitable lifestyle. Information will include individual, family, and community health, nutrition, weight and body composition management, factors affecting the overall well-being of an individual, and prevention methods to help an individual stay clear of negative habits and circumstances.
