Mrs. Waldroup's US Government class is a great place to be and learn! There are so many real life applications discussed in this class. 
1st six weeks we discuss:
  • Purpose and types of government.
  • The US Constitution and founding fathers.
  • Federalism
2nd six weeks we discuss:
  • Political parties,voting process and media
  • The Legislative Branch
  • The Executive Branch
3rd six weeks we discuss:
  • The Judicial Branch
  • Civil liberties
  • Civic resposabilities

Education and Background

 Cleburne I. S. D. has been a part of my educational life since I was 5 years old. I went to kindergarten at Santa Fe and then Adams Elementary, Fulton, Cleburne Middle School and then became a graduate of Cleburne High School, Class of 2000.

After graduating from CHS, I went to Hill College and then became a Tarleton State University Graduate, class of 2004 . 

  • BS degree in Political Science and a minor in History.
  • Social Studies composite teaching certificate.
  • 11 years teaching Government in Cleburne
  • Starting my 13th year of teaching.
  • Subjects taught: World Geography, Texas History, American History, Economics, Sociology and American Government.
