College Readiness and Dual credit

TEXAS ONLINE COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS is a great tool for students and parents offered by TEA. There are many video clips and information about how HB5 supports college and career readiness through endorsement areas as well as information for First-In-Family College Attenders.
Any student seeking enrollment in a dual credit course must complete the following steps in order to register for the course. Failure to complete these steps may result in students being unable to register for dual credit classes.

1.  Hill College Dual Credit/Early Admissions Application and CHS tuition contract

2.  ApplyTexas Application – (we will help students with this on campus)

3.  TSI test at Hill College, $39, call 817-760-5650 to schedule test (unless exempt)

4.  Activate student’s Hill email at

5.  Register for course/courses through MyRebel and pay. Currently CISD pays for 1 course per student. Additional courses cost approximately $280 per course per semester. Hill scholarships are available at www.hillcollege/edu/students/scholarships (deadline is June 1, 2017).

Any questions, please call the counseling office at 817-202-1240.
