Special Appearance by CHS Band Students

We are excited to announce that several CHS band students have been selected to perform in the Southwestern Adventist University Music Festival as members of the University Orchestra. The music festival is in it's second year and will be hosted at the Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown Dallas. Band members include Kendyl Curlee, oboe, Melanie Looper, clarinet, Ryan Pardo, horn, Paul Talley, trombone, and Jordan Clark, percussion. The performance is scheduled for Sunday, March 30th @ 7:30 PM at The Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. We have a limited number of complimentary tickets available. Students eligible for the TMEA Music Scholar Award may wish to attend this concert to fulfill the requirement of attending at least two director approved concerts. Color Guard NTCA Championship Contest

Winter Guard season comes to an end this week, and the CHS guard is currently 1st place in their group heading into the championships contest. We would LOVE to have a large group of parents and students supporting them as they compete to claim the 1st place trophy for the season! Contest is this Friday, March 28 at Mansfield HS. The guard is scheduled to perform at 10:53 PM.

8th Grade Parent Meetings for Incoming Freshmen

Cleburne High School Counselors are currently meeting with all 8th grade parents and students to discuss their four year plan for high school and select classes for 9th grade. 2014-2015 Program Application Deadline March 27th

Students interested in CNA, Pharmacy Tech, Career Prep, and Hospital Rotation programs for the 2014-2015 school year need to complete applications and return them to the Counseling Center or Career Center Office by March 27th. Space is limited so don't delay. Please see Mrs. Harris in the Career Center Office with any questions.

CHS Boys Track Team Places First @ Granbury's Pirate Relays and Girls Place 2nd. Reggie Robinson II 1st-200 meter dash, Reagan Mead 1st-1,600 meter run, Tevin Boone 1st-shot put, Al Baylor, Chris Flores, Darion McCullough, & Jerimiah Welch 1st-400 meter relay, Robinson, Cannon Martyniuk, Baylor, & Treyvon Bradley 1st-800 meter relay, Robinson 2nd-long jump, Baylor-3rd long jump, Martyniuk 2nd-high jump, Boone 3rd-discus, Luis Suaste 2nd- 800 & 1,600 runs, Mead 2nd-3,200 run. Sierra Drake 1st-300 meter hurdles, & 2nd-100 meter hurdles and 200 meter dash, Jazlin Jones 1st-high jump, Brianna Reband 2nd-high jump, Skaila White 1st-triple jump, Whitney Morgan 1st-shot put, Tavia Williams 3rd-200 meter dash, Courtney Jeffcoat, Edboni Simpson, Williams, and White 2nd-400 meter relay and 3rd-800 meter relay.
